Abu Al-Rub Residence is a contemporary family home thoughtfully designed to accommodate a traditional extended family within a single, cohesive architectural composition. The project balances privacy, functionality, and unity, translating family structure into a clear and efficient spatial hierarchy.
The ground floor is shared between two generations: the father’s residence positioned at the front for direct access and prominence, and one son’s residence located at the rear, ensuring independence while maintaining close family connection. The first floor is dedicated to the remaining sons, organized around a central circulation core that provides equal access, clarity, and privacy for each unit.
Architecturally, the residence adopts a modern minimalist language, characterized by clean cubic volumes, horizontal proportions, and a refined material palette. Light-colored stone cladding is contrasted with darker accent elements, grounding the building visually while enhancing depth and rhythm across the façades. Carefully positioned openings maximize natural light and ventilation while preserving privacy between family units.
The result is a multi-generational residence that respects traditional family living patterns while expressing a contemporary architectural identity—functional, elegant, and deeply rooted in social context.
