Sal Wadi's Chalet
Project type
Private Residence
Date
2021
Location
Amman - Jordan
Area
320 m²
Sal Wadi’s Chalet is a contemporary hillside retreat designed to frame the natural beauty of its surrounding landscape. The project balances refined modern architecture with a warm residential atmosphere, creating a seamless dialogue between indoor living and the serene outdoor environment.
The ground floor unfolds as a fluid, open-plan social zone, where the living area, dining space, and kitchen are arranged along a full-height glass façade overlooking the pool terrace. Natural light floods the interior, while uninterrupted views enhance the sense of openness. A master bedroom suite, guest facilities, and discreet service spaces complete the level, ensuring comfort and privacy for residents and visitors alike.
The upper floor is conceived as an elevated sanctuary. A generous living lounge and two master bedrooms open onto a long panoramic balcony that projects toward the landscape, capturing light, breeze, and horizon. A private kitchenette and terrace further support a relaxed, retreat-like lifestyle on this level.
Externally, the architectural expression is defined by clean geometries, deep cantilevers, and a sophisticated interplay of stone, glass, and warm-textured materials. The large overhang shades the glazing while visually anchoring the structure. The infinity-edge pool and timber deck extend the living experience outward, blending architecture and landscape into a single continuous experience.
Sal Wadi’s Chalet is crafted as a place of calm, clarity, and connection—where modern design meets the quiet rhythm of nature, offering a refined escape within a striking architectural frame.
